Five years without a blog entry. This is going to be a long one.

Here goes.

I’ll pick up where I left off, EndWet 2014.

Fall swimming at The Point and in Vermont was, of course, sublime.

The view of Lake Memphremagog from the Clubhouse.

Promontory Point, Hyde Park, Chicago.

Not always swimmer-friendly, but always wonderful. October 2014.

This entry will close with a life-altering event. In November, 2014, I broke and dislocated my ankle in a car accident. Needless to say, my swimming career was put on hold for a little while. But after surgery in December 2014 (yes I had to lie around with my ankle in pieces for 10 days waiting for the swelling to go down), still non weight-bearing, I managed to participate in the Point Penguins New Year make-up swim.

Much butt-scooting was needed to get myself in and out of the water. Fortunately there wasn’t much ice! The waters of Lake Michigan in January do an excellent job of reducing swelling.
